The Excel in Export training programme, aimed at SMEs in Uusimaa, has officially begun. The program supports companies in starting or expanding their export operations during 2025–2026. The first companies have already started the free Export Analysis module, where they assess their current situation and international readiness together with an experienced business advisor from the ELY Centre for Uusimaa.
Excel in Export programme was launched in mid-May and has already gained strong momentum. Around sixty companies have joined the three-phase coaching program so far. Some have completed the first module, Export Analysis, while others have already begun working with export coaching companies that partner with the ELY Centre for Uusimaa. At every stage of the program, participants receive personalized support, and a tailored internationalization plan is created for the company based on its chosen target market.
The companies that have joined the program so far represent a wide range of industries, from services to tangible goods. With the support of the Excel in Export program, companies are offering products and services such as natural health products, steel structures, greenhouse gas measurement, automation and machine learning solutions, as well as handcrafted home decor items.
There are no industry restrictions for participating companies, except for businesses focused solely on importing and re-exporting goods without adding significant value in Finland.
Most of the companies that have started the Excel in Export coaching are micro-enterprises. Some are just beginning their export journey, while others already have some export experience. What unites them is the desire to strengthen the international business skills of key personnel and to receive practical support in launching export operations or entering new markets.
The coaching partners of the three-phase Excel in Export programme are:
Accelerando Oy (UK and Ireland, France and the Benelux countries)
Export Maker Oy (USA and Canada, Japan and nearby regions including several Asian countries and Australia)
Kris & Vasco (Poland, Ukraine and the Baltics, Italy and Southern Europe)
Y4 Works (Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Sweden and other Nordic countries)
The Vientikunto program has a rolling application process. Companies are encouraged to apply by spring 2026 at the latest, as the program concludes at the end of November 2026.
